Unicef-walk tomorrow / Unicef-kävely huomenna!

Hei kaikki,

2E osallistuu huomenna muiden alkuluokkien kanssa Unicef-kävelyyn. Pahoitteluni, että tieto tulee näin myöhään, päätös osallistumisesta tuli ja tehtiin varsin myöhään.

Unicef-kävelyssä oppilaiden on tarkoitus kerätä sponsoreilta rahaa hyväntekeväisyyteen. Sponsoreina voivat toimia esimerkiksi vanhemmat, isovanhemmat tai kummit, jotka lupaavat lahjoittaa pienen summan jokaista käveltyä kilometriä kohden, esim 1e/km

- Tapahtumapäivänä oppilaat saavat tarran kävelypassiin jokaisesta kilometrista, jonka kävelevät.

- Oppilaat tuovat kotiin kävelypassin sekä lahjoituskuoren. Jos oppilaan kävelysuoritusta haluaa tukea, voi kuoreen laittaa pikkurahaa per kävelty kilometri. Kuori palautetaan kouluun.

Dear parents,

2E will participate tomorrow in the Unicef-walk with all the other 1st and 2nd graders. I'm very sorry that the information about this doesn't reach you earlier than this, the decision to participate came late.

The point of the Unicef-walk is that pupils find themselves sponsors for the walk. E.g. their parents, grandparents or godparents can act as sponsors. The sponsors support the walkers by sponsoring them with a small amount of money for each kilometre they walk. For example 1e/km.

- On the day of the event, the pupils will get a passport where they receive a sticker for each kilometre they walk

- They bring the passport home with a special envelope for the possible sponsors. The sponsors may then send money in the envelope to the school, we will then send it further to UNICEF.

- You can also act as a sponsor via online banking:

the school year has almost reached its conclusion and what's left is the last week of school.

- I'd like to remind you to bring  the money for the Viikinsaari field trip
- If you find any old ORT books at home, please bring them to school
- If your child will not be there to collect their report card, you can either collect it from the school office later, or bring an envelope with a stamp and your address to me beforehand and we'll send it to you

Here's the schedule for the last week of school:

Monday 26th: Regular school day (we'll be cleaning up the classroom)

Tuesday 27th: Field trip to Viikinsaari. School from 8 to 12.

Wednesday 28th: School from 9-13. The day includes a football game, teachers vs. 6th graders.

Thursday 29th: Helatorstai, no school.

Friday 30th: School from 8-12.

Saturday 31st: Spring concert at 9 o'clock. After that (about at 10.10) the report cards will be handed out in the classroom.

With this I'd like to thank you for this school year. It's been a privilege to teach your lovely children, big thank you for all the cooperation. Next year they will get a new start with Veera Kairimo-Kanto.

- Muistuttaisin tuomaan matkarahat luokkaretkeä varten tämän viikon aikana.

Field trip to Viikinsaari on Tuesday 27th of May

Here's a copy of the message we sent to Helmi last week:

Dear parents,

1E and 2E will go together on a field trip to Viikinsaari on Tuesday the 27th of May.

The schedule for the day:
8.00 school
9.00-9.20 the boat trip from Laukontori to Viikinsaari
9.30-10.45 sports activities or a nature trail
10.45-11.15 lunch break
11.30-11.50 the boat trip from Viikinsaari to Laukontori
12.00-12.15 school

Costs:
13,5e/child
This includes the boat trip and all the activities.

It would be great if the children could bring the money to school during next week.
The children will get a sandwich and a juice from the school. They can also bring some healthy snacks of their own eg. fruit, another sandwich, veggies or anything that does not need to be in cold. The children will be doing sports and moving the whole day, so it is also very important to take a water bottle especially if the day is warm. Due to safety reasons we can not allow swimming during that day. Please check the weather forecast before the trip, the children need to be dressed appropriately, whether it's sunny or rainy. Even if the day is warm otherwise, Viikinsaari is a windy island.

Ensi viikolla, eli vappuviikolla koulussa riittää menoa ja vilskettä ja tästä syystä myös aikataulut muuttuvat hieman.

Maanantai 28.4.: normaali lukujärjestys.

Tiistai 29.4.: Koko luokalla koulua 9-13. Viimeisellä tunnilla klo 12-13 olemme katsomassa lastenorkesteri Orffeja salissa. Liikunnassa olemme ulkona.

Keskiviikko 30.4.: Koko luokalla koulua klo 9-13. Viimeisellä tunnilla klo 12-13 koko koulun vappulaulajaiset ja vappudisko. Oppilaat saavat halutessaan pukeutua vapun kunniaksi.

Torstai 1.5.: Hauskaa vappua! Ei koulua.

Perjantai 2.5.: Koulun keväturheilupäivä. Tästä pitäisi tulla kaikille Tammelan vanhemmille yhteinen Helmi-viesti.

- Kaikilla 2. luokkalaisilla koulupäivä klo 9-13
- Oppilaat koululle mielellään jo klo 8.50
- Matkaamme tilausajobussilla klo 9 Niihamaan, jossa kävelemme n. 3km luontopolulla. Tämän jälkeen paistamme makkaraa Niihaman majalla.
- Oppilaat saavat ottaa esim. leipää evääksi. Paikan päältä Niihaman majalta saa myös ostaa esim. limonadia.
- Kävelyyn sopivat kengät ja säänmukaiset vaatteet päälle. Liikuntapäivä toteutuu säällä kuin säällä! :)
- Palaamme bussilla koululle n. klo 13.

Next week we celebrate Vappu / May Day and the whole week is a bit different from our usual schedule.

Monday 28th April: normal schedule

Tuesday 29th April: whole 2E at school 9 to 13. In our last lesson (12-13) we will see the children's orchestra Orffit performing.

Wednesday 30th April: whole 2E at school 9 to 13. In our last lesson the whole school will have a Vappu disco. Pupil's can dress up if they wish.

Thursday 1st May: Have a lovely May Day! No school.

Friday 2nd May: Outdoor Sports Day. All parents should receive a Helmi message considering this day.

- All 2nd graders in school  from 9 to 1pm
- All pupils should be in the school yard by 8.50
- A coach will take us to Niihama, where we'll walk about 3 km in the forest, studying the nature. Afterwards we'll grill sausages.
- If pupils wish to eat something else, a small snack (ie. a sandwich) is fine. It's possible to buy snacks and sweets in Niihama as well.
- Everybody should wear comfortable shoes and outdoor clothing. The Sports Day will happen in any weather.
- The coach will bring us back to the school at 1pm.

huomenna menemme luistelemaan! Luistinten solmimista voi harjoitella jo etukäteen kotona.
Jos luistimia ei ole, koululta voi lainata. Tällöin pyydän ilmoittamaan kengänkoon etukäteen, jotta voin hakea lainaluistimet jo aamusta.

Huom! Kaikilla luistelijoilla on oltava myös kypärä!

Luistelemme sekä ti että pe. Muistakaa myös lämpimät ulkovaatteet.

Dear all,

tomorrow we'll go ice skating. You can practise lacing the skates already on your own if you have time.
If your child does not own skates, they can borrow a pair from school. In that case I kindly ask you to inform me of their shoe size in advance, so that I'll be able to pick up the extra skates before the P.E. lesson.

Please note that everybody needs to wear a helmet as well!

We will be skating both Tuesday and Friday.
